Associate Director Talent, Career & Performance Management

London, United Kingdom   |   full time   |   Job ID: 11370

About the Role:

Are you passionate about developing talent across functions, fostering international career growth, and driving organizational performance in a global context? Join our team as Associate Director Global Talent, Career and Performance Management and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our diverse workforce.

In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee cross-functional talent, career and performance programs that ensure we attract, retain, and develop top talent worldwide, while aligning talent strategies with business objectives. Collaborating with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders across regions, you will drive initiatives that enhance our global talent pipeline, support international career mobility, and strengthen our organizational success. A key focus of this role is bridging cultural differences – for example between China, the US, and the EU – and enabling leaders and employees to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

 Your Contribution:

  • Lead and design global, cross-functional frameworks for assessing and developing high-potential employees, ensuring readiness for critical roles and conducting regular international talent reviews
  • Create and implement engaging development opportunities for key talents and high performers (e.g. mentoring and sponsorship programs, job rotations and international assignments, peer-learning and self-reflection formats)
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leaders across functions and regions to assess individual and organizational needs and develop actionable plans for talent growth
  • Design and execute career development frameworks that empower employees to take ownership of their career paths, including international and cross-functional career moves
  • Support performance management strategies by implementing assessment systems, goal-setting processes, and feedback mechanisms aligned with business objectives and global standards
  • Enable leaders and employees to effectively apply performance, career, and high-potential frameworks through trainings, workshops and toolkits – with a strong emphasis on working in virtual, international teams
  • Drive initiatives that bridge cultural differences (e.g. China, US, EU), including cultural awareness and inclusion programs, and ensure that talent and performance processes are effective in different cultural contexts
  • Analyze data and trends across regions to identify gaps and opportunities for improving talent, career and performance programs, and translate insights into concrete actions
  • Build strong partnerships with HR teams, business leaders and external vendors globally to ensure program success and alignment with organizational goals

A Good Match:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in talent, career and performance management in complex, fast-paced and international environments
  • Deep knowledge of career development frameworks, high-potential methodologies and performance management strategies, ideally with application in cross-functional, matrix organizations
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization and across cultures, with a track record of working in or with regions such as China, the US and the EU and more
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conceptual thinking paired with hands-on execution capabilities and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple global initiatives simultaneously with strong organizational and stakeholder-management skills
  • Outstanding presentation, facilitation and workshop-moderation skills; business fluency in English is required, German and/or additional languages are a strong plus
  • Experience leveraging HR technology and analytics to drive decision-making and program effectiveness in a global context
